Features

Everything you need to go from raw survey data to a finished map.

Free and Open-Source

No trials, no subscriptions, no paywalls — Stalagmight is free to use and always will be. All source code is public, so you can inspect it, modify it, or contribute back.

Importing a mNemo DMP file: reviewing the file's sections, then the connection wizard placing each section with a suggested join, and the finished survey.

mNemo & Manual Data Entry

Import DMP files directly from mNemo survey device, or enter data by hand with a built-in spreadsheet.

Dragging a survey segment onto a neighbouring station in StalagMight, then confirming the Merge Stations dialog.

Visual-First Editing

Connect surveyed sections together visually, enter comments, add loop closures and edit survey data with very little need for tabular data entry. StalagMight encourages intuitive survey building and assists with section placement.

Publishing a project to SpeleoDB, taking the write lock to edit, uploading the changes, and browsing the revision history with revert options.

SpeleoDB Support

Collaborate with other StalagMight users on SpeleoDB and enjoy its versioning and backup features.

Plan mode: stations shaded by the gas needed to reach them, a route set from start point to endpoint, stage drops assigned, and the resulting depth profile with turn point.

Dive Planning

Use the survey data to plan future dives, estimate stage drop points and penetration range.

Exporting a survey: a print-ready SVG map image with adjustable line weight, then the same survey written out as an Ariane TML file.

Import & Export Existing Data

Read existing survey files instead of retyping them — Ariane, Compass, Walls and GPX. Export finished maps as SVG, PNG or PDF, and the survey data itself as CSV, JSON or Ariane TML.
